I am the Youth Pastor at Warren’s Grove and am in my last year of graduate school at Duke Divinity. Originally, I am from Petersburg, Illinois, which is a small farming community 20 miles northwest of Springfield, IL. Before living in Petersburg, I had lived in many different suburbs of Chicago, such as Naperville and Hinsdale. During High School, I gave my life to Christ at a United Methodist church camp named Jensen Woods. After this point, I began to witness to others around me both in and outside the school, and felt a strong call to formal ministry. After graduating from PORTA High School in 2005 I went to Trinity Christian College, which is located in Palos Heights, IL. Trinity is a wonderfully small liberal arts college in the Reformed Tradition. During college I regularly volunteered with the Moody Bible Church at an after school program known as By the Hand Club for Kids, which is located in a depressed area of Chicago known as Altgeld Gardens. During the summers I continued to work as a camp counselor at Jensen Woods. The highlight of my college career came during my senior year when I studied abroad in Australia for one semester and worked for a Vineyard church during my last semester. In 2009, I graduated from Trinity with a bachelors’ degree in theology.I like to read theology, watch world news, catch a movie, listen to music, play board games & Ultimate Frisbee, ride my bike, and spend time with my family and friends.
