Warren’s Grove has been blessed to have Renee Whitfield leading us in worship, since she was thirteen years old. Renee has been playing piano at Warren’s Grove for over 20 years and she considers it a great joy to share her gifts and talents in worshiping God. She remembers being really young and the Pastor would call her early in the week and ask her to practice a particular song for Sunday. She would practice all week and then lead the congregation in that hymn. Renee is a native of Roxboro and she graduated from Person Senior High School. Upon graduation she then went and received her Diploma in Nursing from Watts School of Nursing. She is employed with Person Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Duke Specialty Clinics.
Renee also leads our choir during the 11AM worship service and is part of a singing group called the DunHuffTons. Renee grew up being a Duke Blue Devils fan and enjoys time in the mountains and at White Lake with her family. She is married to Charles Whitfield and they have two daughters: Megan and Morgan.
